If this describes you and you would like to be an integral part of the growth of a dynamic civil contracting company, then this may be the opportunity for you.

Due to the success and growth of our company over the last few years we are looking to expand our team with an experienced and mature Project Manager to manage our civil, roads, earthworks and drainage projects, and to assist with the bidding process for new and upcoming works. The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with excellent planning, organisational and communication skills allowing you to manage multiple projects and personnel within a timely and cost effective manner.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years civil construction experience with an established civil contractor and a proven track record of running a whole job site from planning to finished project safely, on time and on budget. Civil engineering qualifications will be highly regarded. This candidate will also be required to possess exceptional communication skills with a strong attention to detail, a positive and flexible attitude and keen work ethic coupled with excellent time management, people management and organisational skills.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the responsibilities of the Project Manager role include:

  • Manage and deliver projects valued between $0.5m-$5m;
  • Manage project scope, program of works, resource requirements, budgets, quality, safety standards and customer expectations;
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects;
  • Liaise with the clients;
  • Collaborate with foremen and site staff to ensure positive outcomes for all stakeholders;
  • Monitor costs against budget;
  • Contract & Claims administration;
  • Assist with tendering, estimating & project acquisition;
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions;
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs;
  • Keep detailed diaries & records.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A project management qualification and/or civil engineering or other relevant tertiary qualification;
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role in an Australian civil construction company;
  • Strong civil and bulk earthworks experience;
  • Strong contracts administration experience;
  • Strong communication, leadership and management skills;
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule;
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and environmental procedures;
  • A great “can-do” attitude.

There is an excellent remuneration package available to the successful candidate.
